Hunting
Sequence

This function defines the
hunting sequence for each incoming trunk line. When making an outgoing
call, the system will grab a trunk line with a smaller hunting sequence
number. It is recommended that the trunk lines associated with the function
of Trunk Flash Call Forwarding be assigned with a larger hunting sequence
number.
Fixed Hunting is set to hunt or find a trunk line with the smallest hunting
sequence number, i.e. T004. However, when T004 is occupied, the system
will go to hunt an available line with hunting sequence number 002, and
so on for example. When calls come into the PBX system, a pre-defined
hunting group of ordered extensions will ring to find a live person.
Round Robin Hunting hunts a trunk line in a circular way. In this way,
each trunk line will carry outgoing calls one after another. If you do
not assign a hunting sequence for a trunk line, then this trunk line will
be out of the trunk access group.
