Configure
& Tools
The “Configure &
Tools” program is designed for you to configure your hardware and
the entire PBX system. For the TelePCX setting, you will use this function
frequently.

"Configure
& Tools" Menu Items & Settings:
Voice
- System Message
Recording
- Before recording a new
system message, you should use this function to register a message
number and a message file on the PBX system.
- Voice Editor
- After recording, you
can use this function to customize and trim off the recorded voice
content, for example, a silent section.
- Get Tone
- This is for you to detect
the trunk line’s signal for monitoring Call Progress. Normally,
the default setting is applicable and it is not necessary to reset
this setting again.
- Get Cadence
- Similar to Get Tone,
the Get Cadence is for you to detect the trunk line’s signal
for monitoring Call Progress. Normally, the default setting is applicable
and it is not necessary to reset this setting again.
PBX
- Extension
- This is for you to create
extension numbers, mailbox numbers, and extension related parameters.
- Trunk
- This is for you to activate/deactivate
each trunk line installed in the PBX system and setup trunk related
parameters.
- System
- This is for you to configure
the system-wide parameters of your PBX system.
- Advance
- This is for you to setup
Auto Call Distribution(ACD) and its relevant parameters.
UMS
- This menu item is provided
for the one who has TeleUMS installed for the PBX system. Otherwise,
this item will be in gray scale. Please refer to the manual of TeleUMS
for details.
APG
- This menu item is provided
for the software named Application Generator. If you need the IVR/FOD
function, you can use TeleAPG to generate customized applications. Please
refer to the manual of TeleAPG for details.
H/W
Setup
- All of the hardware settings
will be done while you install the software. The PBX system detects
all boards you have installed and configures the hardware settings automatically.
It is rarely necessary to change the hardware settings. Please leave
all the settings as the system default unless there is any memory or
I/O conflict.
