Screening
Call Screening prevents unwanted in-coming calls from reaching callees.
There are three types of call screening:
Type
|
Description
|
| Call Screening
|
It screens all incoming
calls by prompting callers to leave the caller's name and company
name in the callee's voice mailbox. After that, the PBX system will
ring the callee and play the recorded messages to that person |
| Caller ID Screening
|
It screens all incoming
calls by detecting whether the caller ID is one of those listed in
the caller ID list |
| Message Screening
|
It screens all incoming
calls by prompting the caller to leave a message in the callee's voice
mailbox. When there is an incoming call, the system will ring that
persons extension first. After the callee picks up the handset, the
caller will be sent automatically to that persons voice mailbox. While
the caller is leaving a message in the voice mailbox, the callee can
hear what the caller is saying simultaneously, and then decide whether
to press Flash to answer the call or hang up directly. Note, that
if the callee hangs up the phone to reject the call, the caller will
not be aware of this action and keep leaving their message |
